KANNUR is the place for them who like beaches and driving a lot and you can enjoy both of them here at the same time. Kannur is known for it driving beach and it is Asia's longest(about 7 KM) driving beach.

First thing first:
Kannur is located at the north coastal line of Kerala, India. It is a district headquarter.

All the information about location, how to reach is here. Now where to stay? There is nice and decent hotel near Central Bus Stand, Broad Bean Hotel, Kannur. We stayed here. Refer pics below for hotel. It is really very good if you are going there as a couple for honeymoon or just for a good holiday. Its range starts from Rs 1200. But there are a lot of lodges and budget hotels in the market. You can get as cheap as 150 per person in a lodge.

This hotel has nice rooms with a lot of space and clean washroom and AC.

The Dining Hall was good and decent and staff was well behaved and breakfast was complementary.

When to Visit:
The best time to visit Kannur is from October to March. other then that it will be very hot and humid and you will not be able to enjoy your holidays.

How to Visit:
If you have taken your own vehicle then its the best thing, otherwise you can hire auto but they are very costly or take city bus for long rides.

Place to visit in Leh Town:
Leh Palace: However there is nothing to see at Leh Palace but it is very famous and the view is awesome from Palace. It is very small and very old Palace(You may wonder why they call it a palace).
